I was delighted to be asked to appear on 4th February’s episode of the podcast The Future of…With Owen Bennett-Jones on the New Books Network.
We discussed the science and geopolitics of fusion, as well as some of the historical fusion machines from the 1950s.
Owen and I also spoke about the recent fusion breakthrough at the National Ignition Facility in the United States, and its implications. This was the first time in a laboratory setting that more energy had come out of a fusion reaction than was put in.
